Mohamud Abdalle
Executive Director / Board Chairman
Mohamoud is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 35 years of executive experience. He has served as Financial Director for an International Charity Foundation, a UNIDO Marketing Consultant, and Director of Industrial Projects for Somalia’s Ministry of Industry. Currently the Chairman of Amal Group, he holds an MBA from California State University, Fresno, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance from IIBI London, where he is an associate member.
Mr. Jama Mohamed Isse
Non Executive Director
Jama possesses 20 years of expertise in investment management and money transfer. As the founder and General Manager of Orsheyal Remittance Company and General Manager of Amal Commercial Brokerage LLC, he has established a strong professional footprint. A major shareholder in Amal Group, Jama also serves on several boards, including First Community Bank, a fully licensed Islamic financial institution in Kenya, reflecting his deep leadership in the regional banking sector.
Mr. Dahir Ismail Mohamed

As the former Managing Director of Amal Express, Mr. Dahir brings over 25 years of professional expertise to the global money transfer and Islamic banking sectors. A seasoned entrepreneur and major shareholder, he possesses extensive leadership experience and deep technical knowledge of the financial industry. His career is defined by a proven track record in executive management and strategic oversight, solidifying his reputation as a key figure in international finance.
Mr. Yusuf Ahmed Dahir

Mr Yusuf is a seasoned finance professional and entrepreneur with over 30 years of leadership experience. Currently serving as Director and East Africa Regional Head of Hope Group, he previously held Managing Director and Finance Director roles at Maahir Holdings and Hashi Empex. An alumnus of Poona University with a degree in Accounts and Auditing, he is a major shareholder in Amal Group and has a proven history of driving regional growth.
Mr. Yusuf Ali Juma

Mr. Yusuf is the former Managing Director of Amal Trade, bringing over 20 years of expertise in investment management, money transfer, and general trade. As a seasoned entrepreneur, major shareholder, and executive within the Amal Group, he has played a pivotal role in the conglomerate’s global operations across diverse sectors. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, underpinning his extensive leadership experience and strategic contributions to the group.
Mr. Abdidahir Ali Hersi

Mr. Hirsi is a seasoned entrepreneur currently serving as the CEO of Amal Group and Managing Director of Amal Real Estate. With approximately 20 years of experience within Amal Group, his expertise spans operations, money transfer, trade services, and property development. An associate member of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers, he holds a Master of Business Administration in International Trade, reflecting his deep leadership and strategic oversight within the global conglomerate.
Dr. Abdiqafar Yasin Farah

Dr. Abdiqafar is a distinguished researcher and academic with over 20 years of experience across the private, public, and UN sectors. He holds a PhD and a Master’s in Defence and Strategic Studies from the University of Pune, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Loyola College, University of Madras. Throughout his diverse career, he has held various influential positions, leveraging his deep expertise in strategy and economic analysis.
Mr. Mohamed Yusuf Issa

Mr. Mohamed is a financial analyst and practitioner with over 25 years of executive experience at ADNOC, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, and SIDAM. A highly credentialed professional, he is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Consultant, and Certified Islamic Professional Accountant. As a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with the CFA Institute, he possesses extensive practical expertise in financial planning, directing, and control across diverse international and institutional environments.
